From Dream to Queen - Emma Komlosy

How this stunning intelligent lady failed to place at Miss World 1996 is beyond me.

Prior to Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Emma Patricia Aret Kapetanovic (neé Komlosy) made a brief appearance on her mother Patti Boulaye's variety show Patti! with Nigerian cultural dance group Ekomé. As a child, she was naturally gifted, and won several swimming championships. During a visit to Nigeria following an accident, Komlosy was a member of the grooming team at the MBGN camp before she was encouraged to enter herself, not believing she would win as she was unsure of what the public would make of a mixed-race contestant. However, Komlosy emerged victorious and lived in Nigeria nearly two years until her reign came to an end. Upon her return to the United Kingdom, she completed her Law degree at the University of Westminster, briefly practising in this field before starting a career in the entertainment industry as a model, actress, singer, and songwriter - one of her songs was used in the closing credits of the film Silence Becomes You, and she has collaborated with singers Will Young and Lee Ryan.

Now married with a son Danté, Komlosy continues to work in entertainment. In 2013, she competed in The Voice UK. None of the judges spun round...their loss!
